Tomlinson is a Jet

Well, I didn't see it coming, but there is an L.T. back in NY.  Tomlinson signed a 2 year deal with the Jets this afternoon and will most likely be the backup to Shonn Greene during his tenure with the team.

Ladanian Tomlinson

Tomlinson has left The Jets talks without a deal in place.  This does not mean he will not sign with the Jets, just that he wants to give it some more thought.

Ladanian Tomlinson

After visiting with the Vikings yesterday Tomlinson is visiting the Jets today.  The Jets, who released Thomas Jones about a week ago, are in need of a veteran presence at RB position.  They have the youngster Shonn Greene, who will carry the bulk of the carries this season and Leon Washington who will probably be used more of as a KR and PR as well.  I doubt that he will come to the Jets as I personally believe Brett Favre will return and bring Tomlinson along with him.

Syracuse

In what was a pretty solid game this afternoon, although not as amazing as their 6 OT game VS UConn last year, Syracuse played Georgetown but lost.  With this loss, it is also likely now that they will fall to a #2 seed in the NCAA tournament.  While this may seem like a bad thing, it may not necessarily be so.  Without the pressure of being a #1 seed Syracuse may thrive in the #2 role and go further.  Plus, it doesn't really matter between a 1 and 2 seed, just pride.  We'll see what happens.
